PRESENTATION
GM Vending s.a. was founded on May 2nd 1995 as the result of an initiative of a group of managers and a search for diversification driven by the Spanish shareholders of the now defunct Mepamsa.
Following a brilliant start, due to good knowledge of the product and the commercial distribution networks, the company continued to develop and reached a notable level in terms of product, distribution, market share and results.
2005 - the tenth anniversary of the creation of the company - started with dark clouds overhead as a result of the legislative measures applied to the distribution of tobacco products and the operational restrictions that could affect the sales of automatic vending machines.
This process culminated in Spain with Law 28/2005 on "Health measures against nicotine poisoning", which was approved on December 26th 2005 and came into effect on January 1st 2006. Similar legislative processes have been applied in other countries, and this brought great uncertainty and the need to reinvent the company.
Since 2005 the company has thoroughly transformed its product range, tackled new markets and countries, modified its internal organisation by incorporating new human resources, reorganised its production process and clarified its shareholder structure.
The end of 2009 saw the completion of this process of change, adjustments and new investments, giving way to other challenges and new objectives of consolidation and growth.
Our orientation towards information and communications technologies has enabled us, even during an economic downturn, to triple our turnover and lay the foundations for a promising future.
